WishTrove Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2025
Who we are
WishTrove helps you save products from different stores and automatically track price changes. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
What we collect and why
- Item details you save (synced to our backend): product URL, name, price, image, and store domain extracted from the page you open. Purpose: to build your wishlist and provide automatic price tracking and alerts.
- Push notifications (optional): an Apple Push Notification (APNs) device token if you enable notifications. Purpose: to send alerts when a tracked item’s price changes. You can disable notifications anytime in iOS Settings.
- Analytics & diagnostics: we use Firebase Analytics (app usage metrics) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) to maintain and improve reliability and performance.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect precise location, contacts, messages, photos, general browsing history, or other sensitive categories. We only parse the product pages you open inside the app to extract the item details you choose to save.
Tracking and advertising
We do not engage in cross-app tracking and do not sell your personal information. If we ever introduce features that qualify as “tracking” under Apple’s ATT framework, we will request your permission and update this Policy and our App Store disclosures first.
How we use your data
- Provide core features: save items, fetch name/price/image, and monitor prices automatically.
- Send price-change notifications you opt in to receive.
- Maintain, protect, and improve the app (analytics and diagnostics).
Where data is processed
We use Firebase/Google Cloud services to host and process data. Information may be processed in your country and in other countries where these providers operate, under their data-processing and security terms.
Retention
- Wishlist items (backend): retained until you delete them or until no longer needed to provide the service.
- Push tokens (APNs): retained while notifications remain enabled for your device/app and removed when disabled, reinstalled, or upon request.
- Firebase Analytics: event/user-level analytics data retained for 2 months (our configured setting).
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash data typically retained for about 90 days by Firebase before removal from live/backup systems.
Your choices
- Notifications: turn on/off anytime in iOS Settings.
- Items & tracking: you can remove saved items or stop tracking at any time. The current free version lets you track up to 6 items at once; saving wish items is unlimited.
- Uninstall: removing the app deletes locally stored data on your device.
Your rights
Depending on your location (e.g., EEA/UK under GDPR; California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information and to object or restrict certain processing. To exercise rights, email us at support@wishtrove.com. We will verify and respond as required by applicable law.
Children’s privacy
WishTrove is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required, provide additional notice.
